August 1st, 2017 Mrs. Elizabeth Wiley Johnson’s beautiful soul went to be with her lord and savior. This Christian woman was born in McDuffie County on 29th of August. 1914. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Edgeworth Hawes Wiley and Mrs. Janie Darsey Wiley. Her husband of fifty years, Walter Edwin Johnson preceded her in death. Her brothers Lonnie Elbert Wiley, George Edgeworth Wiley, John Thomas Wiley and her sister Martha Catherine Wiley all preceded her in death. Her two sons William Wiley Johnson and Walter Edwin Johnson Jr. and their wives, Susan Ramsey Johnson and Jean Everett Johnson, survive her and cherish her memory. She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Thomson, the Wrightsboro Foundation and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Visitation at Curtis Funeral Home 218 W. Hall Street from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday August 3rd. Graveside service at 2pm on Friday August 4th in Westview Cemetery. Please make donation instead of flowers to above organizations. Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
