Mrs. Garnet C. Stewart

Thomson- Mrs. Garnet C. Stewart, age 81, widow of Mr. George W. Stewart, entered into rest Monday August 28, 2017 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. Rayce Lambert and Mrs. Odell Bennett Lambert.

Funeral Services will be 2:45 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pruett officiating.  Burial will follow in Powellton Cemetery in Powellton, Georgia.

Mrs. Stewart was born in West Virginia, but had lived in Thomson for many years.  She was a private duty nurse.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. George W. Stewart.  Survivors include her daughter, Susan Kersey, Thomson; two grandchildren, Amber Delk, Thomson and Brandon Delk (Candice Nichelson), Cumming, Ga.; five great-grandchildren,  Austin, Peyton, Ansleigh, Conner, and Taryn; a step-son, Doug Stewart (Donna), McDonough; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. the day of service at the funeral home.

Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
