Mr. Leonard M. Williams

Dearing- Mr. Leonard M. Williams, age 87, Widower of Mrs. Eva Williams, went to be with his lord, Tuesday, May 09, 2017, in Thomson Health and Rehabilitation Services.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m.  Saturday, May 13, in Dearing United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kim Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Dearing Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County.  He was a retired Barber and a member of Dearing United Methodist Church.  He was an Army Veteran who served in Germany during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burch Williams and Viola Wilkerson Williams; two brothers and one sister, Gene Williams, Viola Downs, and Irvin Williams; and two grandchildren, Lisa Williams and Lael Williams.

Survivors include a son, Gary (Diane) Williams; two grandchildren, Joey (April) Williams and Kelli (Heath) Rogers; six great-grandchildren, Destiny Williams, Sierra Williams, Jason High, Connor Williams, Keegan Rogers and Kamden Rogers; and one sister Louise Dillon.

Friends may call at the residence of Gary Williams or the Curtis funeral home. The Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday night at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Sam Williams, Bennie Williams, Dennis Faglier, Frank Bush, Jackie Downs, and Bobby Phillips.

The family would like the thank the staff of Thomson Health and Rehabilitation Services for their love and care for Leonard and the family during these months he stayed with them.

Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
