I have wonderful memories of Mr. Rusty, he and his parents lived next door to my dad and mom Johnny and Bobbie Radford on Lee Drive.
I always loved going into Lovelace's and see him and your mom. I know he will be missed by you all and many others.
May you find great comfort in knowing he is in heaven waiting for your whole family to be with him again.
May God bless you all.

I really enjoyed getting to know Rusty through the Rotary Club of Thomson. He truly was a walking historian with a great depth of service and love for this community. I personally appreciated his warm welcome to me as a transplant to the community. May God bless his family with peace and comfort at this most difficult time.

One of the biggest regrets is that my grandchildren will never know the man we called Mr. Rusty. I've never meet a more caring person for everyone that came his way than Rusty. He will be missed by this entire community.
Thinking of you,
Wynelle

Truly, Thomson-McDuffie has lost its greatest historian. Rusty knew and loved the area so much, he was a walking history book. His presence will be greatly missed as will his precious smile. Heaven must be singing now for the newest resident. Know the reunion with Ms. Harriett was a sight to behold! Prayers to all of you in the family that had this treasure for so long.

I, as well as many others, shall miss Rusty. He always had a ready smile and greeting to all he met. He had his Sunday School little ones coloring pictures and mailing to Wiley when he was ill. Such a dear person was our Rusty. Lifting up the Lovelace family..

We will certainly miss Rusty. He was such an inspiration to so many of us at First Baptist.
