William "Billy" Wells

Dearing- Mr. Billy Wells slipped peacefully HOME November 17, 2017. The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, November 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Curtis Funeral Home. Graveside services to celebrate his life will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. with Rev. Boyd Reeves and Mr. Jack McCorkle  officiating. He was a member of Silver Run Baptist Church.

Born in 1929 to Seth and Bertha Morgan Wells: his parents and ten of his siblings preceded him in death. Billy enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, playing golf and ballroom dancing. He had a great sense of humor and loved people.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary; son, Gary (Lynn); grandson, Alex; granddaughter, Stephanie; sister, Ginny Lockwood; in-laws, Dot (Otis) Harrison; Frances Wells, Hazel Wells, many nieces and nephews.
