Dearing - Mrs. Betty Ann McGuyton, wife of the late James “Jim” McGuyton, died Sunday, October 11, 2020, in Warrenton Health and Rehab.
Mrs. McGuyton was a native of Richmond County and a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. She was a lab technician with Shaw Industries for many years. She was a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McGuyton; parents, Ruth and Ben Meadows: a son, Willis Purvis; a grandson, Brandon Grubbs; and a brother, Walter Lamb. She is survived by her two daughters, Nicky (James) Howell, Dearing, and Cathy Williams (Greg King), Hephzibah; her son, James McGuyton, Grennville; her grandchildren, Courtney (Josh) Johnson and Keith (Ashton) Howell, both of Thomson, Kristen McGuyton, Hephzibah, Lee (Heather) Smith), Mitchell, and Preston Howell, Cody Howell and Luke Howell, all of Dearing; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Callie Clark, Thomson.
A visitation will be held this Wednesday evening, October 14, 2020, from 6 to 8, at the Curtis Funeral Home.
