William David Dozier, Sr.

Appling - Mr. William David Dozier Sr, 76, of Appling, Georgia, he was preceded in death by his mother Iris Allen Dozier and father Ewart Sturgis Dozier.

Entered into rest Tuesday December 27th and he was the loving husband of Shirley Taylor Dozier.  David was born in Atlanta, Ga, graduated from Thomson High School, attended Abraham Baldwin College, and obtained an associates degree in Agricultural Engineering then transferred to the University of Georgia and earned his BS in Agricultural Economics.  He was a lifetime and active member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.  His civic and community organizations included Georgia Cattleman Association and Kiwanis Club.  A career in the Dairy industry expanded almost 50 years of dedicated service to the Dairymen of the Southeast.  Personally, he was a 5th generation farmer on the property he called home in Cobbham.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include Son [William David Dozier, Jr., (wife) Elizabeth Cox Dozier, their children Jordan Thomas Johnson (wife Sidney Carnell Johnson), Mason Bennett Dozier].  Son [John Sturgis Dozier]. Son [William Allen Dozier, (wife) Kimberly Ann Pitcher Dozier, their children William Jackson Dozier, Harrison Harbin Dozier, Wilkes Brinkley Dozier].  Daughter [June Marie Dozier Tittle, (husband) Shawn David Tittle, and their children Luther Molnar Dozier, Jacob David Tittle, Logan Maddox Tittle; Sister [Gale Dozier Sitton]; Brother [Roger Allen Dozier].

The memorial service will be held Monday January 2, 2023, at 2 pm at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Appling, Ga.  Pastor Kim Webb will be officiating the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation at 1141 Broughton Road, Madison, Ga 30652 or Shiloh United Methodist Church.
