Dearing- Mr. Alton D. Davis Sr., 82, beloved husband of Mrs. Wanda Adams Davis, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at his residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, in Dearing Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Rockefeller officiating.

Mr. Davis was a native of the Wrightsboro community, but had lived in Dearing for many years. He was retired from Proctor & Gamble after 30 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Harlem Georgia.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wanda Davis, Dearing; his daughter, Robbie (Alan) Owens, Canton Ga.; three sons, Alan (Debbie) Davis, Dearing, Alton D. (Phoebe) Davis Jr., Acworth, Ga., and Keith (Donna) Davis, Griffin; his brother, Wallace Davis, Dearing; 9 grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Chandler Davis, Dillon McTier, Jacob Owens, Elijah Owens, Jonah Williamson, Morgan Davis, Summer Davis, and Alaina Davis; and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Dearing Full Gospel P.O. Box 417 Dearing, Georgia 30808 or Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Harlem, Georgia.

Friends may call at the residence.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
