Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Marsh
Thomson- Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Marsh, 86, widow of Mr. James Marsh, entered into rest on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, January 20, in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Hank Wilson Officiating.
Mrs. Marsh was a native of Warren County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was retired as an office manager with Dozier Plumbing and Electric after 54 years of service. She was a member of Thomson Presbyterian Church where she was teaching a Women’s Bible Class. She also taught Sunday school for many years. She loved to attend Young at Heart and the Sunshine Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marsh and parents Mr. Cleon Landrum and Mrs. Rachel Purvis Landrum and a brother T. W. Landrum. She is Survived by her son, Rex Marsh (Ruby) of Thomson; sister, Vera Rabun of Thomson; brother, George Landrum (Agnes) of Norway, South Carolina.
Friends may call at the residence of Rex Marsh or the Curtis Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Thomson Presbyterian Church.
Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
