Leon Buffington

Thomson- Mr. Leon Buffington, 81, entered into rest Friday, October 6, 2017 at University Hospital McDuffie.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 9, in Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating.  Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Buffington was a native of Columbia County, but had lived in Thomson for many years.. He was a retired businessman. He started in business as an Electrician, working with Dozier Heating and Air for over 20 years.

Survivors include his sister: Mrs. Doris Ready, Grovetown; two nieces, Toni (Wayne) Watkins and Rhonda (Bill) Bachand; two nephews, Doug (Kim) Hallford and James (Linda) Buffington.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Brinkley, Brad Collins, Randy Gingery, Wayne Sims, and John Bailey.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
