Mr. Martin Bernard Spitz

Thomson- Mr. Martin Bernard Spitz, 76, beloved husband of Mrs. Alice W. Spitz, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the University McDuffie Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Chris Smith officiating.

Mr. Spitz was a native of Detroit, Michigan, and a graduate of the University of Michigan, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a retired Salesman, an Army Veteran, and an avid billiards player.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice W. Spitz, Thomson; a daughter, Melissa Thompson; a son, Edward Spitz; a sister, Diane Raphael; stepchildren, Dwayne Tector, Nancy Tector Letteer, and John Tector; and several grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 22, prior to services.
