Thomson- Mr. Marvin Hubert Land, 53, entered into rest Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Augusta University Medical Center.  He was the son of the Late Mr. William Albert Land and Mrs. Mary Frances Phillips Land.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Charles Land and Johnny Rogers officiating.   

Mr. Land was born in Augusta, Georgia, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was passionate about his career as a carpenter, making sure every job he done was perfect.  Marvin loved being outdoors, doing yard work, and sitting around a fire with friends and family.  He also loved spending time with his grandson.

Mr. Land is survived by his wife, Denise Harmon of Thomson; Son, Michael Land (Lynn Gingery) of Thomson; brothers, William Land, and Clarence Richards, both of Dearing, Bobby Land of Thomson, and Lawrence Phillips of Gibson; sister, Judy Norman of Indiana; grandson, Michael Scott Land; Uncle, Charles Land (Madge) of Thomson and good friend, Larry Burns, Thomson.

Friends may call at the funeral home.  There will be no visitation.
