Mary (McGahee) Brooks

Mrs. Mary McGahee Brooks, 90, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 17, 2018. 

A family graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Bowers officiating. 

Mrs. Brooks was a lifetime resident of McDuffie County and had been a very active member of Thomson First Baptist Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Lemuel R. Brooks, Jr. (Byrd), son Glenn, granddaughter Leslie, two sisters and 1 brother.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by a daughter Penny B. Rogers and husband Charles of Cumming; sons, Lem Brooks and wife Peggy, Dearing, Tommy Brooks and wife Wanda, Sparta, Ken Brooks and wife Linda, Aiken SC.; daughter-in-law Helen Beazley and husband Fred, Eatonton, 7 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brother Herbert McGahee, Atlanta and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations can be made to Thomson First Baptist Church Lighting Fund.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends June 20, after services from 11:00 to 12:00 in the Atrium of Thomson First Baptist Church.
