Mrs. Mary M. Reese

Thomson- Mrs. Mary M. Reese, 92, widow of Mr. Dewey Reese, entered into rest Monday, December 24, 2018, in University Hospital Augusta. 

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, in Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating.  Burial will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Reese was a native of Rabun County, but had lived in Thomson for many years.   She was retired from McDuffie County School System as a lunchroom Supervisor, and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey L. Reese, her son, Jimmy Reese, her parents, George Herman Malcom and Florence Doster Malcom, brothers, James Malcom, Rufus Malcom, George Malcom, Harold Malcom, Hubert Malcom, Jack Malcom, and Dan Malcom;  and sister, LaWanna Johnson.

She is survived by her two sons, Don Reese (Anita) and Wayne Reese (Vicky), both of Thomson; four grandchildren, Trapper Reese, Hunter Reese, Clay Walden, and Brooke Swint; nine great-grandchildren, Barrett Reese, Reid Walden, Garrett Walden, Brannon Gregory, Carson Swint, Laney Swint, Hannah Swint, Katie Swint and Calvin Norris.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Easler, Barry Barnhill, Jack Malcom, David Russell, Michael Hobbs, and Clay Walden.

Friends may call at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
