Mrs. Rosalie Virginia Heitzig

Rosalie Virginia Heitzig, 76, of Dearing, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was born in Joplin, Montana, on June 17, 1940 and adopted by Wallace and Agnes Hunt.  She later married a military man, and earned the privilege of traveling extensively throughout Europe and America as an Army wife.  She earned a teaching degree from Augusta College, eventually retiring from ME Freeman Elementary School.  After her husband’s death, she settled down in Dearing where she lived with her horses, living the country life.

She was predeceased by her parents, Wallace and Agnes Hunt, and her husband, SFC Robert Heitzig. Survivors include her daughter, Bobbie Simpson (Tommy), her two cherished grandsons, Zachary and Trevor (Amber), and her twin brother, Ronald Hunt (Janet).  She was a member of Dearing Methodist Church.

A Memorial will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at The Dearing Methodist Church at 10:00.
