Ruth “Bobbie” McDonald

Augusta- Mrs. Ruth “Bobbie” McDonald, 88, widow of Mr. Woodrow McDonald, died Friday, March 2, 2018, in the Westwood Nursing Facility.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, in the Pine Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Butch Baston and Mr. Jim Allen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. McDonald was a native of Walton Ridge, Tenn., but had lived in Thomson and Augusta for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Martha Furr, Augusta, Doris (Jimmy) Miller, Gibson, Connie McDonald, Augusta, and Wanda (Terry) Smith, Graniteville S.C.; a son, Jerry (Susie) McDonald, Martinez; a sister, Florence Henry, Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Clarence Sexton, Cincinnati, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and a number of great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday March 4, at the funeral home.
