Angela Marie (Jones) Garbutt

Stapleton - Mrs. Angela Marie Jones Garbutt, 54, beloved wife of Mr. Mitch Garbutt, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at noon, Friday, March 8, 2024, in Westview Cemetery with Rev. Tim Ferrell and Mr. Jamie Webb officiating.

Mrs. Garbutt was born in Augusta, grew up in Thomson, and lived in Stapleton for many years. She was a graduate of Thomson High School and Augusta Technical College, with an Associate degree. She was a Para Pro for the McDuffie County Board of Education, having worked for 14 years. She was a Baptist by faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nettie Rae Jones. Survivors include her husband, Mitch Garbutt, Stapleton; her two daughters, Jessica Garbutt and Courtney Garbutt, both of Stapleton; her sister, Jennifer Copeland, Portland, Or.; and her brother, Walter Joey Jones, Portland, Or.

Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 to noon on Friday.
