Anita Michelle Pennington

Dearing- Ms. Anita M. Pennington, 42, beloved daughter of Mrs. Brenda Walden Axon, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Doctors Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ms. Pennington was born at Fort Gordon and had lived her life in McDuffie County. She loved her family, going shopping, going to the beach and the Georgia Bulldogs.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Pennington, her grandmother, Janet l. Whitaker, and her nephew, Preston K. Blackwelder. Survivors are her mother, Brenda Walden Axon, Dearing; her three sisters, Heather Crawford (Chris), Patricia Blackwelder (Patrick) and Mitzy Axon; her nieces, Kayla Crawford, Gracie Crawford, Christa Crawford, Brittany Chambliss; her nephews, Christopher Crawford and Corbin Blackwelder; 7 great-nieces and 8 great-nephews.
