Aurella (LaPlante) Franklin

Mrs. Aurella Franklin, beloved wife of the late Henry C. Franklin, Sr., died Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home in Grovetown.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at inMOTION Church with Rev. Chuck Gordon and Rev. Addison Belangia officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta.

Mrs. Franklin was a native of VanBuren, Maine, but had lived in Grovetown for many years. Rella loved to travel, enjoyed her friends and was committed to her family. It was through the testimony of her life that her husband and son, Scott, came to first know Jesus. She was a member of the inMOTION Church of Thomson.

Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband Henry Carroll Franklin, Sr. and her son, Henry Carroll Franklin, Jr.  She is survived by her son, Rev. Scott (Regina) Franklin, Thomson; her brother, Glen LaPlante, Tide Head, NB; her brother Dave LaPlante, Bangor, ME; her sister, Michelle LaPlante, Portland, ME; her three grandchildren, Charlene Franklin, Charis Franklin, and Micah Franklin; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the inMOTION Church Playground Fund.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the church, prior to the services.
