Bernice Louise (Smith) Johnson

Dearing - Mrs. Bernice Louise Johnson, 71, beloved wife of Mr. Kenneth Johnson, died Friday, August 23, 2024, in Doctors Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2024, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Young officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Ga.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of McDuffie County and had lived in Dearing for many years. She was retired from Civil Service from the V.A. in the Food Service Department.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Kenneth Johnson, Dearing: her three brothers, Ernest Smith, Gibson, Bobby Smith, Harlem, and Arthur T. Smith, Boneville; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday prior to the services.
