Bessie (Wyatt) Standridge

Appling - Mrs. Bessie Standridge, 84, widow of Mr. William Standridge, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, in the Lake Crossing Nursing Facility.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the Harlem City Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating.

Mrs. Standridge was born in Johnson County, but had made McDuffie County home for many years. She was a graduate of Kite High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Kennedy; her grandson, Christopher Kennedy; her parents, Marvin and Addie Wyatt; and her two brothers, Leon Wyatt and Grady Wyatt. Survivors include her three sisters, Thelma Hargrove, Geraldine Jones, and Margaret Edwards; her brother, Billy Wyatt; and several nieces and nephews

The family will greet friends in the cemetery at the Graveside.
