Betty E. (Couch) Lewis

Augusta - Mrs. Betty E. Lewis, 73, Beloved wife of Mr. Robert Lewis, died Friday, July 14, 2023, in the Augusta University Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 on Wednesday prior to the service.

Mrs. Lewis was born in Royston and had lived in the Thomson and  Augusta areas for years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Robert Lewis, Augusta; her two daughters, Tammy (Gary) Shull, Hephzibah, and Annette Gay, Augusta; her two sons, Jerry Lewis Jr., Hephzibah, and Matthew Shane Lewis, Augusta; her sister, Carolyn Autrey; her four brothers, Dan Couch, John Couch, David Couch, and Edward Richardson; and a combined total of 18 grand and great-grandchildren.
