Betty (Hanson) Poole

Thomson - Mrs. Betty Hanson Poole, 85, widow of Mr. Jerry A. Poole, died Monday, November 11, 2024, at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Poole was a native of Bowdon, Georgia, but had lived in Tennessee and Thomson, Georgia. She was a college graduate, having graduated with a BS Degree in Nursing. She was a retired Lt. Colonel, having served in the United States Air Force.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sibyl Hanson; and her two brothers, Charles Hanson and Barry Hanson. She is survived by her two sons, Clint Poole, Arizona and Robert Martin; her daughter, Melinda Chesnut; her sister, Charlotte (Larry) Hinman, Thomson; her grandchildren, Hallie Chesnut, Ian Chesnut and Brian Chesnut. Her nieces, Angie (Chris) Rogers, Kelli (Jay) Poston, and Libby Hutcheson; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jay Hutcheson, Jenna Hutcheson, Allen (Ashley) Rogers, Dozier Rogers, Drue (Courtney) Poston and Sibyl Poston
