Thomson - Mrs. Beverly Malone Hinton, 86, of Thomson, entered into rest at her home, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Mrs. Hinton was a devoted Mother, beloved Grandmother and Great-grandmother. Born on Oct. 9, 1938 to the late Victor A. Dolan and Beatrice Dolan Hinch of Elka Park, N.Y. She was a long time resident of Palenville, N.Y., where she was very active in the Fire Dept’s Ladies Auxiliary, a mail carrier, and a scout leader to both boy scouts and girl scouts.
Beverly moved south in 1972 and has lived in Thomson for the last 43 years. She was owner / manager of several Exxon Service stations both in N.Y and Georgia. She retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, where she managed the Gate house of Lake Springs recreational Area.
Mrs. Hinton loved to read historical fictions and also enjoyed solving sudoku puzzles, watching old western TV shows and spend time with her family
In addition to her parents, 2 brothers, David and Victor, and her sister, Victoria, she is preceded in death by her first husband of 23 years, Daniel N. Malone and her second husband of 32 years, Thomas L. Hinton.
She is survived by her 5 daughters, Debra Malone Cawley (Chuck), Grovetown, Sandra H. Martin (David), Appling, Beverly B. Bobb, Lakeland Ga., Danielle Malone De Vita (Joseph), Evans, and Heather T. Eidson (Jason) Thomson; her 9 grandchildren, Sarah C. Yowan (Michael), Charles E. Clay Cawley III (Alison), Benjamin D. Harden (Rhonda), Landra Harden Banks (Steve), Rebecka C. Hughes (Brian), Laura Stewart (David), Thomas Joseph DeVita (Shyenne), Isabella V. Eidson and Jase Thomas Eidson, and 7 great-grandchildren
The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Allay Hospice and CSRA Home Health; especially for the care they gave Mrs. Hinton.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Brandon Henson officiating. Burial will be in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Grovetown. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
