Brenda Ann (Neal) Cramer, 75, passed away, Thursday, December 5, 2024, in the Piedmont Hospital, Augusta, Georgia.
Brenda was born in Thomson, Georgia and spent her early years there. When she was twelve her family moved to Bluffton, South Carolina where she graduated from Bluffton High School in 1968. She worked for Bluffton Phone Company in the 1970s and 1980s. She lived in many places, but always considered Bluffton home, returning there often. In 2018 she moved back to Thomson, to the family farm that she played on as a little girl.
Brenda was a loyal Georgia Bulldog fan and was known to frequent the largest outdoor cocktail party also known as the heated Georgia-Florida college football game. Like a true southerner she loved a good oyster roast and “visiting” with friends and family. An avid Elvis fan, her sons become Elvis fans by osmosis. She had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling with her lifelong friends - Shelby Land, Nell Dean Simmons, Rudean Robiston - who were also family.
She was the cornerstone of her family, offering boundless love, wisdom, and kindness that touched everyone around her. She proudly celebrated the accomplishments of her two sons, both firefighters, and doted on her three grandchildren, her pride and joy.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Jeannette and John Land, and her sister, Linda Holt. She is survived by her sons, Allen (Courtney) Cramer, Bluffton, SC and Rick (Susan) Cramer, Seneca, SC; her sister, Shirley (Danny) Saxon, Ridgeland, SC; her brother, Paul (Catherine) McLeroy, Buford, GA; and her three grandchildren, Ryan Cramer, Murphy, TX, Megan Cramer, Seneca, SC, and Ally Poholsky, Murphy, TX.
Brenda was member of the Young Memorial Methodist Church, Thomson, GA.
