Bunyan Thaddeus Langham Jr.
Born April 18, 1932 in Warren County, Ga
Passed away on December 24, 2023 at the age of 91.
He was preceded in death by his childhood sweetheart, loving wife of 70 years, Mary Langham. And also by his parents: Bunyan, Sr. and Thelma Reese Langham as well as three siblings: Blanche Lambert, JW Langham, and Reese Langham.
Bunyan was the devoted father of four children: Louise (Gary) Moore, Mary Agnes (Otis) Rabun, Sara (Ronnie) Newman, and James (Debbie) Langham.
He was also the proud Papa to 7 grandchildren; Shaina Langham, James (Terry) Moore, Jefferson (Alisha) Rabun, Jessica (Will) Stroud, Jackson (Amanda) Rabun, Jaclin (Isaac) Overstreet, and Thaddeus (Rebecca) Newman as well as 10 great-grandchildren; Joshua & Kelby Rabun, Lincoln Rabun, Reagan Stroud, Bruce Wayne, Isaiah, Addelynn Ann, & Abbigail Overstreet, and Jana & Parker Newman. He is also survived by his sister, Waistel Thigpen.
An avid outdoorsman, Bunyan found great joy in hunting and fishing. He delighted in sharing that love with his family and had endless entertaining stories to tell.
As a longtime faithful member of Washington Heights Baptist Church where he served many years as a Deacon. Bunyan spearheaded the outreach program there, sang bass in the choir, as well as taught a men’s Sunday School class for many years. He had a passion for reaching the lost for Christ and boldly proclaimed the Gospel from the time of his conversion to the very end of his life.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gary Caudill and Dr. Joe Wills officiating. The family will receive friend from 1 to 2 p.m. at the cemetery.
