Charles Chastain Obituary

Grovetown - Mr. Charles Chastain, 51, beloved husband of Mrs. Crystal Chastain, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 6, 2026.

The family will have a visitation for family and friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Curtis Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m.

Mr. Chastain was born in New Port Ritchey, Florida, but had lived in Grovetown for several years. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Wellstar Hospital. The family said he was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.

Charlie was a man whose life was defined by love, laughter, and an unshakable dedication to his family. Known by those closest to him as a hardworking and selfless provider, Charlie spent his life doing whatever it took to make sure the people he loved had what they needed. No job was too small and no sacrifice was too big when it came to caring for his family.

Charlie shared a beautiful life with the love of his life, Crystal, for nearly 31 years, and they were blessed to spend almost 28 of those years married. Together they built a home filled with love, resilience, and countless memories. Their partnership was the foundation on which they raised their four wonderful children: Branden, Logan, Jackson, and Addyson.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Charlie knew that when he walked into a room, the atmosphere changed. He had a presence that could light up any space, and there was truly never a dull moment when he was around. Charlie was a natural jokester who loved making people laugh. Whether it was a quick-witted comment, a playful tease, or one of his classic jokes, he had a gift for bringing smiles to the faces of everyone he met.

Outside of his work and family life, Charlie found great joy in the simple things—especially camping. If he had his way, he would have been out in nature every single weekend. The outdoors brought him peace, happiness, and some of the best moments shared with the people he loved most.

Charlie’s story is one of perseverance and determination. He came from humble beginnings and worked tirelessly to build something meaningful. Through hard work, dedication, and love, he created a life alongside Crystal that many admire—a life centered around family, laughter, and strength. Together they raised four incredible children who carry forward the values he lived by every day.

Charlie was also a proud grandfather who found great joy in his family and the memories they shared together.

Charlie will be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather. He will also be remembered as a tireless worker, a man who could brighten any room with his presence, and someone whose laughter was truly contagious. The life he built from humble beginnings and the love he poured into his family will continue to live on through them.

His laughter, his stories, and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Crystal Chastain; his daughter, Addyson Chastain; his three sons, Branden Chastain, Logan Chastain, and Jackson Chastain; his sister, Patsy Chastain; his dad, Wayne Chastain; and his grandson, Atlas Dean Brown.
