Connie (Hughes) Hardy

Thomson - Mrs. Connie Hughes Hardy, 78, beloved wife of Mr. Gene Hardy, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026, at her residence.

A private memorial service will be held at the family farm in Rockmart, Ga. at a later date.

Mrs. Hardy was a native of Rockmart, Ga., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired Cosmetologist, having worked for the Merle Norman Studios in Rockmart and Thomson. She was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Hardy; and her parents, Fred and Wilma Hughes. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Gene Hardy, Thomson; her daughter, Mrs. Heather (Thomas) Jackson, Dearing; her four grandchildren, Cassie Hardy, Jackson Hardy, Caroline Jackson, and Levi Jackson; her two sisters, Marjorie Hughes and Jan Hughes; and her brother, Fred L. Hughes Jr.
