Cynthia "Cindy" W. (Woodham) Whitaker

Dearing- Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Whitaker, 66, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the Piedmont / Augusta Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2026, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. David Lambert officiating.

Mrs. Whitaker was born in Atlanta, but had lived in Dearing for many years. She was a Baptist by faith.  She was a retired waitress, having worked many years at the White Columns Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Mitchum and her sister, Donna Riddle. Survivors include her son, Brian Whitaker (Lynn), Dearing; her daughter, Stacey Thomas (Paul), Thomson; her grandson, Connor Thomas; her mother, Barbara Mitchum; her 3 sisters, Marian Little- Gohill (Raj), Sharon Osborne, and Shaun Woodham; her 3 brothers, Randy Woodham (Susan), Franklin Woodham, and Jonathan Woodham (Mandy); her two great nieces, Nikki Lea Morris and Raylea Dayl Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3 p.m. at the Curtis Funeral Home.
