David Fuller Obituary

David John Fuller, of Appling, GA, formerly of Marshall, MI, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by those that he cherished most.  Those that loved him are reassured they will see him again, as he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior. Born on August 11, 1948, in Marshall, MI, David dedicated his life to service and family.

A proud veteran, David enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965 and served his country for 22 years, retiring in 1988. He bravely completed two tours in Vietnam. During his military career, David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management.

David was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard, Sr. and Josephine Fuller; his in-laws, Robert and Ruth Mayo, whom he dearly cherished; his son, David John Fuller, Jr.; his brother, Richard Fuller; and his sisters, Barbara Adams, Audrey Parker, Arlene Johnston, Brenda Bugbee, and Judy Hoag-Crapo.

David, known for his kind and gentle demeanor expressed his love by acts of service.  Just in David’s style, sixteen months prior to his passing, he entered hospice care.  Just because it was the end, he didn’t stop.  He used that time wisely to ensure all his personal projects were completed and, most importantly, to provide his family with the love and support they needed to face the difficult journey ahead.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 42 years Cindy, his loving sister, Darla Waters (Dave) of Morriston, TN; his children, Keri Ann Norris (Tyrone) of Battle Creek, MI, Jennifer Ciccio (Daniel) of Appling, GA, and Jonathan Fuller (Ashley) of Appling, GA; his grandchildren, Drew McCormack, Drea McCormack, Devon McCormack, Bryson Fuller, Noah Wilson, Laurel Ciccio, Payton Ciccio, Emory Callahan, and Ellie Callahan; and numerous great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his beloved, albeit begrudgingly, furry companion, Chloe.

The family would like to extend its Thanks to Southeast Hospice, in particular friend and nurse, Geri Lowery and Nurse Jordan for their outstanding and compassionate care.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dunn’s Chapel Methodist Church 6563 Ridge Rd, Appling GA 30802, where David was a proud member.

Funeral services will be at noon, Saturday, February 15, 2025, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mark Taylor and Rev. Jennifer Cheeley officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 till noon at the funeral home
