Doreen Vera (Sejba) Wright

Thomson - Doreen Vera Wright,91, widow of Robert (Bob) O. Wright, passed away on December 14, 2025 while visiting her son’s home in Grovetown.

Doreen was born on February 8, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to the late Laura Barbara Sejba and William Gilbert Sejba.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Phyllis) Wright, William (Shirley) Wright, Linda (John) Geier, and James (Renee) Wright; her grandchildren, Melonie Robinson, Robert Wright, Laura Geier, Katie Wright, Stephen Wright, Dylan Wright, and Cassidy Barker; and her great-grandchildren, Hudson Geier and Jackson Wright.

Doreen thrived in her role as a stay at home mom until all of her children out of school and grown.  She moved to Thomson in 1977 with her husband as part of the National Homes group.   After Bob passed away in 1983, Doreen moved to Martinez where she went to work for Macy’s Department store for more than 20 years.  After retiring, Doreen loved spending her time bowling, volunteering at Doctors Hospital, and counting coins every Wednesday at St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, but one of her favorite pastimes was reminiscing with her children and grandchildren about the times of old. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, Thomson, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
