Lincolnton- Mrs. Earline Spires, 78, widow of Mr. Claude E. Spires, died Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Doctors Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in the Loco Baptist Church Cemetery, in the Loco Community in Lincoln County.
Mrs. Spires was a native of Abingdon, Va., but had lived in Lincolnton for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Loco Baptist Church.
Survivors include her three daughters, Marilyn (Guy) McDeavitt, Lincolnton, Tammy Spires, Harlem, and Donna Spires, Lincolnton; her son, Claude (Winona) Spires Jr., Lincolnton; her three sisters, Mary LaGrone, Margaret Fortson, and Geraldine Widvey; her brother, James W. Lively; her 7 grandchildren, Christina Bryant, Jessica McDeavitt, Savannah McDeavitt, Summer Williams, Madison Myrick, Lauren Smith, and Charlie Spires; and her 5 great-grandchildren, Evelyn Grace McDeavitt, Natalie Smalley, Aiden Bryant, Sawyer Spires, and Bo Spires.
The family will receive friends at the graveside.
