Edith R. (Reese) Gheesling

Thomson-Mrs. Edith Gheesling, 87, widow of Mr. Wilbur Gheesling, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in the Pruitt Health Facility in Evans.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024, in Westview Cemetery, with Rev. Stacy Phillips officiating.

Mrs. Gheesling was a native of Warren County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was retired from the Thomson Company, having been a seamstress and an Inspector.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Gheesling and her granddaughter, Carri Thigpen. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (James) Bland, Thomson; her son Tony (Cathy) Thigpen, Augusta; her 4 grandchildren, April (Bradley) Kitchens, Catlyn Thigpen, Kristin Bland, and Tiffany Bland; and her 3 great-grandchildren, Sara Kitchens, Violet Price, and Justin Cosby.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the graveside after the services.
