Dearing - Mrs. Faye Lawrence Tate, 85, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at her residence.
Per her request, there are no services planned at this time.
Mrs. Tate was a native of Hawthorne, Fl., but had lived in Dearing for several years. She was a retired cook and a homemaker. She was a devoted mother, especially to her oldest son, Richard Bowden, who was attacked as a child and left handicapped because of it.. As he grew older his handicap got worse and he always lived with his mother and she cared for him till his death. Dedication does not begin to cover the kind of mother she was! She was also a loving and fun grandmother to all her grandchildren, who meant the world to her and she was the kind of grandmother that would sit on the floor and play silly games just to hear the laughter of her grandchildren. She was our rock when needed and a soft place to land with open arms for comfort. She will be missed by all and forever in our hearts! She was amazing to say the least! She was a beautiful soul and dedicated Christian and lived her life walking in Faith and helping others! She always had a kind word, special prayers and a hug for anyone that needed it. Her smile and laughter would light up a room!
Her family includes her 5 children, Richard Bowden, Janice Hamilton, Carey Bowden, Judy Thompson, and Theresa Weatherly; her 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren
