Thomson – CDR Fenn C. Beasley, 85, beloved husband of 40 years to Mrs. Pat Lucas Beasley, entered into rest Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his home.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Steve Dodson officiating.
Mr. Beasley was born in Richland, GA, to the late Cornelius and Martha Beasley. He was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He was retired from the United States Navy after 31 years of service as a Top Gun pilot, flight instructor and Commander. During his military career, he served our country in Vietnam and earned numerous citations and medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. After retiring from the Navy, Mr. Beasley was an advanced bridge player and enjoyed bass fishing, going on vacations and cruises with his wife, and taking golf cart rides around his neighborhood. He was a member of Thomson First Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Beth Beasley; a brother; and a sister. Survivors, other than his wife, include: a son, John Beasley (Monica) of Beaufort, SC; two daughters, Pam Mance of Augusta and Diane Mance of Bluffton, SC; four grandchildren, Ashley Beasley, Ryan Beasley, Jessica Reitz, and Windsor Smith; and five great-grandchildren, Everett Larrimore, Kayleigh Reitz, Trynton Reitz, Cam Buckley, and Cayden Buckley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason B. Smith and Ken Richards.
