Thomson- Mr. Fred Perdue, 88, beloved husband of Mrs. Betty Jo Perdue, died Saturday, November 12, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022, in the Thomson First Baptist Church, with Dr. David Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Perdue was a native and lifelong resident of McDuffie County. He was an Army Veteran. He was retired from A T & T. He was a member of the Thomson First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the A. G. Leroy Sunday School Class.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Rodgers, and his son in law, Gary Eller. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Jo Perdue, Thomson; his three daughters, Cindy Eller, Martinez, Michelle Rodgers, Thomson, and Mrs. Jan (Tim) Wilson, Appling; his five grandchildren, David (Meghan) Eller, Stephen (Brigid) Eller, Christen Eller, Caitlin Rodgers, and Matt Wilson; and his two great-grandchildren, Ellis Eller and Milledge Eller.
Pallbearers will be David Eller, Stephen Eller, Matt Wilson, and Wes Ivie.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Regency Hospice, especially Victoria Hall and Buffy Voorhees. Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Robert K. Lemley, for his very special care.
Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Thomson First Baptist Church prior to services.
