Garrett Edmunds

Thomson - Mr. Garrett Edmunds, 73, Beloved husband of Mrs. Cathy Edmunds, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2023 in the Thomson First Baptist Church, with Dr. David Lambert officiating.

Mr. Edmunds was born in Wilkes County to Lon and Margaret Edmunds. He grew up in Lincoln County and had lived and worked in McDuffie County for many years. He was retired from Eubank Land Company where he was Treasure and worked in Lumber Sales. He was a member of the Thomson Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the Thomson First Baptist Church, where he was an active Deacon, a member of the Choir, a Trustee, and a member of the Poston-Moore Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cathy Edmunds; his daughter, Mrs. Catherine (Clinton) Woods, Chula Vista, Ca.; his son, Mr. Earl (Sunshine) Edmunds, Snellville; his three brothers, Mr. Lonnie (Callie) Edmunds, Lincolnton, Mr. James Allen (Courtney) Edmunds, Macon; and Mr. Walter (Susan) Edmunds, Augusta; and his six grandchildren, Emerson Powell, Willow Edmunds, Cullen Powell, London Edmunds, Jonas Woods, and Maris Cate Woods.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Thomson Kiwanis Club and the Poston-Moore Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Thomson First Baptist Church Music Fund or the JDRF.org Diabetes.

Friends may sign a guest book at the Curtis Funeral Home, the residence , or on line. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Atrium of Thomson First Baptist Church on Sunday prior to services
