George Turpen

Dearing- Mr. George Turpen, 61, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his residence.

A  Celebration of life will be held  at 4 p.m., Sunday, October 3, at the residence of Deborah Hawkins..

Mr. Turpen was a native of Peru, Indiana, but had lived in Dearing for many years. He was a retired roofer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margie Turpen Sr. and his brother, Charles Turpen Jr. Survivors  include his life partner of 27 years, Ms. Deborah Hawkins, Dearing; his 2 sons, Zachary Turpen and George Wright, both of Indiana; his step children Sativa Sturkey (Freddie), Jessica Dodson (Terry); his grandchildren, Commodore Howell, Courtney Johnson, Keith Howell, Kealee Sturkey, Chase Brooks, Blake Brooks: his 7 Great-grandchildren;  his sister, Winifred Turpen, Peru; and his brother Russell Turpen, Peru.
