Georgia W. (Wilkerson) Johnson

Gibson - Mrs. Georgia W. Johnson, 94, widow of Mr. Riley Johnson, died Monday, January 3, 2022, in the Gibson Health & Rehab Facility.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Burnley and Rev. Lester Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was a native of Warren County, but had made her home in Thomson for many years before moving to Gibson. She was a seamstress at the Thomson Company and then became a full time Homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sallie Wilkerson, and her two sisters, “Bill” Freeman and Maude Calton. Survivors include her 4 daughters, Laverne (Danny) Burnley, Simpsonville, S.C., Susan (Larry) Swint, Mitchell, Elaine (Hal) Keller, Harlem, and Patricia (Michael) Kennedy, Thomson; her 11 grandchildren, Bryan Burnley, Brooks Burnley, Sherry Burnett, Jennifer George, Rebecca Clark, Matt Swint, Scottie Keller, Anna Keller, Blake Kennedy, Zachary Kennedy, and Michael Kennedy, Jr.; and her 13 great-grandchildren

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Second Baptist Church.
