Hazel leaves behind a legacy of love.

In 1957 she met and married the love of her life, Lonzie Beckworth and they would go on to spend the next 55 years together.  Those years included date nights dancing at the Moose Club and spending time on the lake.

She joined the workforce that same year as a seamstress at Thomson Company. She would go on to become the plant manager in a time when those positions were primarily reserved for men.  She continued that career path until she retired in 1996.  In retirement, she spent time loving on grandbabies and also fishing and playing cards with friends at Raysville Boat Club. She loved cooking for family and friends and always had the grandchildren's favorites ready when they visited. Food was her love language and she loved everyone well.

Hazel's walk with the Lord started at Fort Creek Baptist Church and continued at Little Brier Creek Baptist, Union Baptist, in Thomson and later in life at Bethlehem Church in Winder, GA.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Jake & Josie Phillips; her loving husband, Lonzie Beckworth; her sister, Ada Phillips; and her brothers: Leonard Grady & (Eulaween) Phillips, William & (Shirley) Phillips, Lewis & (Jackie) Phillips and many others that were dear to her.

She is survived by her son, Mike & (Peggy) Beckworth; her daughters, Tammy & (John) Kalada, and Jeanna & (Peter) Kelley.

Grandchildren: Tiffany & (David) Hardy, Chasie & (Geoffrey) Gerlach, Mason Kalada, Will Kalada, Hannah Chalker, Owen Kalada, Sarah Kelley, Phillip Kelley, Francis Kelley.

Great-grandchildren: Ethan Hardy, Ella Michael Gerlach, Eric Hardy, Eli Gerlach, Kacy Hardy, Edy Grae Gerlach.

Hazel was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
