Herman C. May

Dearing - Mr. Herman C. May, 95, beloved husband of Mrs. Bessie May, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at his residence.

A private graveside service will be held with Rev. Clifton Brown officiating.

Mr. May was a native of Mitchell, Glascock County, Georgia, but had lived in Dearing for many years. He was a retired watch maker, having worked at Friedman’s Jewelers and Wall’s Jewelers of Thomson. He was an Army Veteran of W.W. II. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie May, Dearing; his two daughters, Mrs. Virginia “Kandy” Clay, Mitchell, and Mrs. Frances Kaye Bartlett, Dearing; his son, Mr. Kenny May, Dearing;  9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, services will be private. You may sign the guest book at the funeral home.
