Horace Hardaway

Harlem - Mr. Horace Hardaway, 91, widower of Mrs. Mercelia Hardaway, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at his residence.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Wes Gardner officiating.

Mr. Hardaway was a born and lived in Columbia County all his life. He was retired from Georgia Power Company as a lineman and then as a supervisor. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Harlem.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Jane (Richard) Huffman; his son, Robby (Beverly) Hardaway; his 4 grandchildren, Wade (Jenny) Huffman, Zach (Kasie) Huffman, Lauren (Cal) Reynolds, and Emily Hardaway; and his 6 great-grandchildren, Lainey, Anna-Kate, Henry, Kate, Greyson, and Mary Kathryne.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
