Hugh Murphy, Jr.

Thomson - Mr. Warner Hugh Murphy, Jr., 52, widower of Mrs. Mary Walker Murphy, died Monday, February 10, 2020, in the University Augusta Hospital.

A memorial service will be held  on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. David Lambert officiating.

Mr. Murphy was a native of Wilson, N.C., but had lived in Thomson for several years. He was a welder.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warner Hugh Murphy, Sr.; mother, Gladys Keller; and stepfather, Tom Keller.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kristen Espiritu and Allison Murphy, both of Dearing; two sisters, Kelly Murphy, NC and Katina Keller, TX; his 4 grandchildren, Zander Espiritu, Ollie Espiritu, Phoenix Espiritu, and Paxton Espiritu; his fiancee, Ann Mooney; 3 stepchildren, Alyssa Johnson, Trevor Johnson, and Parker Mooney; 4 stepgrandchildren, Kannon Langham, Kyler Langham, Kaydence Langham, and Creed Johnson; and 2 nieces, Christina Thomas and Harley Johnson.
