James Farr Obituary

Thomson - Mr. Robert “Bob” Farr, 96, widower of Mrs. Mazell “Mazie” Farr, died Thursday, April 9, 2020, at his residence.

Private Graveside services will be held with Mr. Russell Gary officiating.

Mr. Farr was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County.  He was a retired Farmer. He was the Past Chairman of the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners, and was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and sang in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Georgia Cason Farr, Sr., his sister, Ruth Wallace, and two brothers, Dan Farr and Milton Farr.

He is survived by his daughter, Ms. Mary Farr; his son, Mr. James (Trish) Farr; his two sisters, Mrs. Madelyn Golomb and Mrs. Carolyn MacKay; and his brother, Mr. Charlie Farr; and grandchildren.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, graveside services will be private, but will be broadcast live on WTHO-FM at 3:00.
