James "Bubba" Strickland

Thomson- Mr. James “Bubba” Strickland, 47, died Monday, August 1, 2022 at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Michael Sutphin officiating. 

Mr. Strickland was born in Augusta, but had lived in Thomson all his life. He was a Baptist. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Doris Story. Survivors include his two sisters, April McCoy and Connie Strickland; his three brothers, Tommy Story Jr., Leo Strickland, and Bobby Jean Strickland, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to services.
