Jeanne Phillips Walker, affectionately known as “Ree,” passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family.

Born to William and Shirley Phillips, Jeanne was a caring daughter, a loyal sister, and a compassionate soul. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Chrissy Zimmerman, whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Walker (Jesse) and Rebekah Walker (Seth), and her brother, Jeffrey Phillips—all of whom were the center of her world.

Ree was a gentle spirit with a deep love for animals and a passion for books. Her happiest moments were the simple ones—spending time with her family, sharing laughter, stories, and the quiet joy of being together. Whether curled up with a novel or surrounded by loved ones, she found beauty in the everyday.

Jeanne will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet humor, and the way she made others feel seen and loved. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Curtis Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 p.m.
