Dearing – Mr. Jerry L. Brinkley, 62, beloved husband of Mrs. Rebecca K. Brinkley, died Saturday, August 29, 2020, at University / Summerville Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020, in Westview Cemetery with Rev. Allen Holbrook and Zach Washington officiating. Face masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.
Mr. Brinkley was a native and lifelong resident of McDuffie County. He owned and operated Brinkley Builders for over 20 years and was now a Superintendant for Trinity Custom Homes. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jarred Brinkley; his parents, Velmer and Ira Dell Brinkley; and his brothers, Kenneth and David Brinkley. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rebecca K. Brinkley, Dearing; his daughter, Karlee (Evan) Hunt, Thomson; and his brother, Raymond Brinkley, Thomson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at New Hope Baptist Church, from 6 to 8 p.m. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all required protocols will be observed. Masks and social distancing will be required.
Members of the Doodle Hill Hunting Club will be Honorary Pallbearers.
