Thomson - Mrs. Jessie Mae Layton, 99, widow of Mr. George Dewey Layton, entered into rest Saturday, August 8, 2020, at her residence.
There will be no services in Thomson, but a memorial service will be held in Chelsea, Oklahoma at a later date.
Mrs. Layton was a native of Chelsea, Oklahoma and lived most of her life there, before moving to Thomson several years ago. She worked at a computer factory and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chelsea, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Jesse and Nancy Caulk; her two brothers, John Caulk and Revelle Caulk; her sister, Mary Caulk Rohland; her brother-in-law, George Rohland; her son-in-law, Alfred Joe Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Tony Brumley and Riley Davis. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Layton Davis and Louane Layton Davis; her son, George Allen (Karen) Layton; 5 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
