Jewell (Brooks) Poss

Dearing- Mrs. Jewell B. Poss, 88, widow of Mr. Thomas Poss, died Friday, September 25, 2020, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2020, in the Carter’s Grove Cemetery in Wilkes County, with Rev. Logan Huff and Mr. Jack McCorkle officiating.

Mrs. Poss was a native of Jefferson County, but had lived in Dearing for many years. She was a Homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dearing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Thomas Poss, her daughter, Linda Ledbetter, and all her siblings. Survivors include her three sons, Billy Poss, Thomson, Stevie Poss and Tommy Poss, both of Dearing; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Funeral Home.
