Jimmy M. Deaton

Warrenton- Mr. Jimmy Deaton, 79, beloved husband of Mrs. Ethel Deaton, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at his residence.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel.

 Mr. Deaton was born in Wilkes County and had made his home in Warrenton for many years. He was retired as a Supervisor from Federal Paper Board in Augusta. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracie Deaton; his parents, Charles and Allie Deaton; and his sister, Grace Watts. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Deaton, Warrenton; his two daughters, Lisa Sherrer and Lori Radford (Gene), both of Warrenton; his 4 grandchildren and his 8 great-grandchildren.
